Can you foster a dog for us!
Leave a ‘lifeline’ as your legacy
Transform the lives of Veterans and dogs
Leaving a lasting legacy is a great way to help us to change lives and give crucial support to Veterans and Dogs over future years. Whether you have an existing will, or are writing a new one, a gift to Service Dogs UK will make all the difference. Think about your family, friends and the charities you want to remember in your will. People naturally want to look after family and loved ones first, but many people find after they have been taken care of, they are able to leave something to a cause they support.
Choose an executor. Most people have two, and these people are responsible for carrying out the wishes contained in your will. These will be people you can trust, such as family, friends or legal advisors.
Decide what type of gift. Some people leave a specific sum of money, or item, others a share of their estate.
Add Service Dogs UK to your will. We suggest using the following wording: “I leave xxxx to Service Dogs UK, registered address: Fareham Marina, Lower Quay, Fareham, Hampshire PO16 0RA, registered charity number 1165409 in England and Wales.”
Let us know. Leaving a gift to Service Dogs UK in your will is one of the most valuable and lasting ways you can support us. Please let us know if you have supported us in this way – we would love to be able to thank you properly.
Leaving a legacy is straightforward but we strongly advise that you consult a solicitor who can advise how your will is worded to ensure that your wishes are carried out exactly as you want them to be.
