Why fundraise for Service Dogs UK?
Take on a challenge for Service Dogs UK and be part of a small, impactful charity that transforms lives. Your amazing efforts will support Armed Forces and Emergency Services Veterans with PTSD, whilst giving rescue dogs a second chance at life. Every challenge you take on, and every pound you raise brings hope, independence, and purpose to heroes and their canine companions.

Case Study, Kirsty Hawkes – Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2024
As an ex member of the RAF Air Cadets for 10 years, as well as having a sister in an emergency services, I know how stressful and demanding their careers can be. I have seen a lot of what they go through, and how the trauma impacts them in the long run. Seeing how hard they work and how their mental health suffers is really difficult so for me.
I’m also a dog owner and therefore know how much just a regular dog can do for mental health, so providing service dogs to help those suffering from PTSD and more seemed to me a very worthy cause and I wanted to help in any way I can. My dog does so much for me, I can only imagine how amazing these dogs are!
Honestly running for such an amazing charity kept me going throughout the tough miles on the day and made crossing that finish line that much more satisfying! I raised an incredible £1800 from all my lovely supporters through many fun events like bake sales and pub quizzes!
